Hark! RORY DANGER AND THE DANGER DANGERS are celebrating the holidays in the only way they know how: with a blowout performance at Tipitina’s on Thursday, December 20. Hailing from faraway lands you haven’t heard of, the rarely seen collection of musicians and miscreants will present the long lost Christmas tale of Moby Dickens, the Great White Elephant in the Room, making sure to leave no detail of the fabled fable untold. Sure to be a fullscale, multi-sensory experience, this is a party not to be missed. Joining in the festivities will be the one and only MICHOT’S MELODY MAKERS, featuring members of the Lost Bayou Ramblers. Eccentricity and electricity will be on full display, as well as more guitars than can be counted by mere mortals. Stocking stuffers, fog machines, saxophones, and dancing partners will all be provided. Doors open at 8pm, with joyful noises beginning at 9pm. 

Michot Melody Makers are an electric string band pushing the boundaries of Cajun traditional music. Under the direction of fiddler and Lost Bayou Rambler co-founder Louis Michot, the Melody Makers reinvigorate historic compositions and introduce sublime new melodies, all while evoking soundscapes inspired by a time when drums and amps first electrified Cajun music.
